Q: Are all VLLC language courses accredited and what does this mean?
A: Vocational Language Learning Centres ® are based in Melbourne and Adelaide and are the exclusive registered providers of the courses. The Certificate in Foreign Language Studies courses in Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Indonesian, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Russian, Arabic and English for Vocational Purposes are nationally accredited under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). Accredited training enables students to gain recognition of their qualifications throughout the country both for employment and further training. The qualification gained upon successful completion of the course enables students to transfer to other courses with full recognition of their prior learning, where appropriate.
Q: Can I do my course online?
A: Yes, you can access your course from the comfort of your own home or office. You still get great personalised customer service while taking advantage of the convenience of online access. Make your course suit your schedule by logging on any time 24/7. Save time and travel costs, stay in PJ's if you want and enjoy the flexibility of your online course.
Q: Can I get Austudy while studying at VLLC?
A: Yes, VLLC is Austudy, Abstudy and Youth Allowance approved. Conditions by Centrelink may apply.
Q: Can VLLC courses contribute credits to Year 12 High School Certificates?
A: Yes, in most states Certificate II contributes up to 20 credits, Certificate III an additional 8 credits and Certificate IV another 8 credits. The availability and credit value vary between states depending on State Education policy.
Q: Can VLLC language courses be done by correspondance?
A: VLLC does have an on-line delivery option which replaces 80% of required attendance. Certain conditions apply.
Q: How can I see how the online courses work?
A: Send us an email request with your phone number and we will have a Course Advisor contact you and book a convenient time to give you a demonstration. Through the wonders of technology, we can now do this live demonstration on your desktop via the internet with a personal phone link to you. This process allows you to view the system and its functionality 'live', whilst giving you the opportunity to ask quesions appropriate to your own situation.
Q: How much do VLLC courses cost?
A: As each course is individually designed to meet the needs and goals of each student, cost will be determined by your particular needs.
Q: How often do VLLC courses start?
A: VLLC's Individually designed courses mean that you may start your course at any time (subject to availability) as starting does not rely on particular intake dates.
Q: What hours are the centres open?
A: Centres are open Monday to Thursday 10am til 8.30pm and Saturdays 9.30am. Online courses can be accessed at anytime at your convenience.
Q: What if I already know some of the language but want to improve my skill?
A: We would be happy to give you a free assessment of your language to determine which level of entry would best suit you. We can then design your course with consideration of your prior knowledge, enabling you to 'fill in the gaps' where necessary while regaining confidence and practice in the language you do have before moving you on to the next level of fluency.
Q: What if I do not have any previous knowledge of the language that I want to learn?
A: No problems! You do not need any prior experience, VLLC can help you from start to finish. You can start speaking your new language as early as the first lesson.

Q: Why should I learn a language at VLLC?
A: The VLLC method of language learning allows you to learn a language in as little as 5 - 10 weeks up to Certificate II level. So, instead of enrolling in a traditional language learning environment which takes years and includes boredom you can enjoy the easy, fast and fun way of acquiring a language.
